Sadly, my Tres Leches Pumpkin Pie did not come out well. The pie was tasty, the crust was perfect, but my Leche Sauce was left on top of our car during a trip to Nebraska, so it became an offering to the earth and/or Pie Gods. Oh well. :)

First Filled Cake
A SUCCESS!

Let's get this party started.
Hello, Internets!
I'm Messica, and I like to bake. I love cakes, cupcakes, bread, cornbread, you name it! And it is all done at HIGH ALTITUDE! WOO!
I became interested in baking two years ago, when I was pregnant. Fancy that. I was lazy then, and rocked frozen pies and store-bought items. Upon squeezing out my spawn, I decided to get my scratch on! It has been an interesting journey since then, but a journey I definitely want to keep on track.
I have gotten paid for some of my baking projects, and have entered several contests. I'll post later about fellow bloggers who inspire me.
Here is a link to my current "portfolio": on Flickr!
I hope to improve upon my leetness, and perhaps become and official professional. I am aiming low, which will make for another post, but until then...welcome and thank you!
I also have a LiveJournal where I cuss a lot and kvetch about guinea pigs, being married and driving: here!
And to treat you with visual tastiness:
